Black Kite

I got a spectacular view of a black kite (トビ in Japanese) while returning home from a hike in the mountains today. I was cycling along the edge of a lake, and the kite swooped above me at about 1 meter above my head! I continued on for a respectable distance before stopping to watch it hunt for a bit. It reminded me of The Peregrine, an amazing book.
