Linux Kernel 6.7 Issues
The Linux 6.7 was released on January 7th, Linux 6.7.1 was released on January 20th, and Linux 6.7.2 was released on January 25th. I had minor issues with the 6.7 kernel, and then I had major issues with the 6.7.1 kernel. I have not had a chance to try the 6.7.2 kernel yet. For now, I have downgraded to the 6.7 version.
With Linux 6.7, I have had various audio issues. It looks like the devices are managed differently, breaking all of my configuration and scripts. My mute, volume up, and volume down buttons are therefore not working. Since this is something that will probably/hopefully be addressed upstream, I have been just manually adjusting my audio settings.
With Linux 6.7.1, my system boots but has terrible performance. I boot to the console, and I was even able to notice the performance issue at the login prompt! The system is not really usable in this state, so I downgraded to Linux 6.7 for now.
I have not had a chance to try Linux 6.7.2 yet, so I do not know if it fixes the performance issue. I do not have time to try it out now, so I will wait and try it later.
