Tortilla Chips (Part 2)
My wife needed to go to Costco this morning, so I went with her. I was very happy to find that the Organic Tortilla Chips were in stock! I use the past tense because they were selling quickly, and I would not be surprised if they run out of stock again before the end of the day.
I noticed that the online shop still lists the chips as out of stock, and we indeed did not receive a notification. I imagine that the brick and mortar stores have priority over the online shop when new stock becomes available.
I purchased enough bags to last me until the expiration date, in case the product is not available again for some time. Many others were buying multiple bags as well, including some people who were filling multiple carts! I assume that the folks who purchase so many bags are doing so for business, probably more resellers than restaurants. In the import business blog entry, I mentioned that the demand for tortilla chips is low, but perhaps it is not as low as I assume.
My wife is going to harvest some fresh vegetables from our garden this evening, and I will make some pico de gallo tonight!
